Yeah, it helps but I think it's more than that. He looked sooo young in S1, I think he maybe worked out a bit since then also, but he doesn't look as tiny anymore as he used to!

Probably put on a couple of pounds, true. But I've seen him in other films/ shows, his whole body seems to take on the role. He's very good at what he does for a living. He can play geek convincingly but he can also play other types of characters pretty spot on. I think right now AoS is going down the road of "manning" him up even more than before.

If they ever do make him go shirtless in the show, I hope they'll release behind the scenes stuff just cause I'm sure poor Iain will be MORTIFIED

I think Liz mentioned that in S1, he was MORTIFIED because they put him in a very revealing leotard in the episode Eye Spy! And that's when he used to be very skinny!

Can't remember in which thread we were discussing the backgrounds and families of the characters, and that we only knew about the families of some of the characters. And I said something like that I was glad Simmons still had both her parents but that we didn't know anything about Fitz. But I was just watching Providence (1x18 or 19 or something?) and when Fitz gets in the superduper advanced truth machine, and Agent Koenig asks him to list his immediate family, he says 'it's just me and my mom', so he has no dad anymore? Dead? Ran off? Now I'm curious

He mentioned it in this interview and he spoke about it at the London Comic Con too, about how his real mom should play Fitz's mother, but his RL mom keeps calling him "Iain" instead of "Fitz."
