Can't wait what the thing is that will 'change things in the team forever' or something like that... guess that's 'Huntingbird' related? With this episode being centered around them and all? Really curious. Can't wait  __________________

No bother! I feel like hyperbolic sentences like "this will change the team forever!" are in a lot of the press releases for this show, so I'm not expecting it to be that big. We shall see, though!

Oh man, I'm going to miss Hunter and Bobbi. Even though it's been known they would get that spin off (which I still think is a mistake, just keep them on AOS) I didn't know thier depature would happen in this episode and this fast
I thought it would happen a little later. I felt so sad when they sacrificed themselves for the team. The scene where they all bought them drinks as a silent goodbye, that got me so teary eyed. |

So, I was expecting the ep would end up with Bobbi and Hunter leaving SHIELD. All the signs were there that it was going to happen.
I was a bit underwelmed by the way it went down though. Things worked out too easily - they just walked out of there claiming they weren't with SHIELD and everyone was okay with that, even the Russians. They didn't have to fight their way out or go on the run or anything, it's like they just retired. And that last goodbye scene in the bar was touching, but I was expecting more resistance and drama in the team. Mack was the only one who seemed really upset about it, everybody else just kind of accepted it and nobody really fought it. Also, why did they have to go completely dark like that, with no contact at all? This is an elite spy organization with state of the art gadgets, surely they could find ways to communicate even if they were being watched. Heck, being the elite spies that they are, couldn't they keep working for SHIELD without seeming to work for SHIELD? Like, undercover? It kind of undermined that farewell scene for me when it just seemed so unnecessary. __________________

I also found the episode a bit underwhelming . . . and slow paced. My sister fell asleep. She has never done this before. As for the farewell scene . . . eh. I wasn't moved to tears.
