When your ship is a flop you get what you deserve tbh. I saw some people on Twitter yesterday claiming that Candela's just ill and not to give up hope until the end and I'm just like why don't you love yourself? Like I get people ship what they wanna ship, but don't try to proclaim a cheap knockoff as true love when we've already had the real thing. I've seen the odd clip/picture of Catelia (and everytime I see that written all I can think of is the song Cecelia) and there's no spark whatsoever. I boil it down to people either being desperate to ship an LGBT couple or fearing that Velasco/Celia would be put together, cause people would speculating like mad during the stupid marriage storyline. End of the day Candela/Luz are awesome and 6H writers may be flops but they can never take away the fact Celia & Aurora were the loves of each others lives so I'm good

preach preach preach!! i don't feel sorry for catelia fans because they were rude af when aurora DIED. catelia would have never even happened if aurora hadn't D I E D. cata never said she was a lesbian (and celia and aurora did); she's bi, she's going back to her ex-bf, that's what it is. it's not "offensive" like some people claim -- the same people who said aurora dying wasn't offensive, mind you. sorry but celia never loved cata, it was obvious. they literally had scenes that were the same scenarios as previous aurelia scenes that even HIGHLIGHTED the discrepancies. celia wasn't ready to move on after aurora, but velasco pushed her to and celia's only connection with cata was sexual. she was a rebound.

i mean how much clearer could they have been that celia was still in love with aurora and would always be in love with her? and cata was insecure af about celia loving aurora. there's no way they ever would have lasted and it'd be a joke to think otherwise. ofc there's no "spark" between them because candela literally hated every second she had to do a catelia scene.

the reason people looooooove catelia is because they got 2 sex scenes. that's literally it. oh and they hate aurelia because aurelia had ~too much drama~ and ~ridiculous storylines~, which is the MOST ironic thing of all time.

I'm trying to decide which part of that is the dumbest thing I've ever heard. It seriously annoys me when people act like a bi woman ending up with a man is offensive, like which part of bisexual do you not understand? It makes me hate Velasco even more if that's possible & loving a couple cause you get 2 sex scenes? Thanks but I'd rather have one that actually means something because the couple have a deep, meaningful connection. The only storylines I didn't like for Aurelia were the husband + baby & Celia/Velasco marriage crap, but even then I could put up with it cause we got some really great scenes including THAT second proposal out of it. Every single fight they had they always made up because they couldn't stay mad at each other. They always respected each others feelings + opinions even if they were a little dumb in the moment #thatslovebiatch.gif and I'm having a lot of feelings

everything about it is so dumb. and they're like, "well she never said she was bi, she's just marrying a man because it's safe". ummm she never said she was a lesbian, and she clearly loved her ex-bf, so how does it not make sense?? it's not offensive for a bisexual woman to end up marrying a man.

i've hated velasco for so long, the only good thing he EVER did was find aurora. that's literally it. he was just petra 2.0 -- he dominated celia's life and made everything about him. at least i believed in celia & petra's friendship, tho. sometimes i just wondered why celia & velasco were even friends. i love that aurora was always super flippant towards him and didn't care about him at all. that's my girl.

and yes, they really did claim catelia was "better" representation because they had 2 sex scenes, despite aurelia's 1 sex scene being LONGER than the 2 catelia ones combined. and we got EVERYTHING with aurelia. sex scene, a billion kisses, handholding, five thousand cute little forehead/neck/cheek/shoulder/hand kisses, getting to see them sleeping in bed together, 2 proposal scenes, celia's whole family + others accepting their relationship ... but yeah somehow that's not good enough representation for some people.

i didn't LOVE every aurelia storyline, but like you said, we got a LOT of good stuff out of even the worst storylines. aurelia really loved each other -- it was a deep, REAL love. they communicated with each other, they supported each other, protected each other, understood each other, had a million things in common ... they were just a great couple because they went on so many journeys together and saw so many hardships and they ALWAYS ended up even stronger than they were before. and they only ever had eyes for each other, that's important to me -- there was never cheating with them or anything else.

and so much of it was because of candela & luz, honestly, because they fought SO hard to get stuff added in or taken out, and they improvised a L O T of really great aurelia stuff. aurelia would have just been an average, forgettable couple if it wasn't for them. they elevated aurelia to a god tier ship, tbh.

anyway, i could talk about them all day.
