Like any normal uni/college student I lived off coffee when I was studying but once I finished and actually got some sleep I didn't need it at all. I don't mind tea but water is fine for me.

For Mother's Day we got through the slightly strange combination of The Family, which was actually quite amusing and Moonlight. It is such a beautiful film that was quite hard to watch at times and sad, but I don't understand how that guy won a supporting Oscar for his role when he was only in like the first 15 minutes or so and not really important to the film?

^Well I mean look at Judi Dench winning for Shakespeare in Love. She didn't win on merit, she won because she missed out the year before for Mrs Brown. The Oscars are just stupid for the most part.

but i'm still glad moonlight won best picture over la la land. that was revenge for good lgbtq films losing out to ~oscarbait straight ppl films~ in previous years.

That's the thing, I never know I'm allergic to something until I have a reaction and sometimes it takes years of using/eating/drinking something until something happens, and when it does it takes a while for me to know for sure what exactly is causing it. It's tiring, really, the list gets longer every year

So that job I had a second interview for, the one where I had none of the skills they were looking for? HR called to offer me the position tonight. I mean, I'm 100% certain that they offered it to someone else first and they said no. But omg. I have no idea how this happened. They must really not like some of the internal people that applied, because they've got the skills that I lack and not all of them got second interviews. I'm going to accept the position tomorrow, but holy crap, freaking out now.

Holden!!!! THAT'S AMAZING. Truly congratulations!!! Sounds like you deserved it even if you didn't have the skills.
That's really crappy. Does it make eating out difficult or awkward? I have an aunt who is only allergic to tomatoes and she struggles just with that allergy finding something to eat at some places.

It definitely makes it awkward, specially when I go to a friend's house and they offer me stuff, because I always have to ask what's in the food and people are like "what, why?? " like I'm saying I don't like the food before I even try it, but that's so not the case, I just don't wanna be sick for weeks and have to take a bunch of medicine - to which I might be allergic as well! no kidding, I AM allergic to one kind of allergy medicine On restaurants, most of the time the waiters needs to go and ask the kitchen people for more details on the ingredients because they don't know (usually never have to answer questions like that), and I always make sure I ask many times and very clearly what can't be on my food.
