and as like, a singular event alone, it wouldn't be terrible.

except, you know, this has literally happened in all of ****ing 2016 AND it is so soon after what happened in orlando.

which is a terrible ****ing combination.

they should have just never aired this ****. honestly.

and the thing that pisses me off the most is that this isn't even the kind of ****ing show oitnb is supposed to be. yeah they can have serious stuff, but it's supposed to be balanced with humor. like you're not supposed to feel absolutely depressed the whole time you're watching, and, honestly? like s4 was not fun to watch. the first 2 episodes, maybe, but then it went into soul-sucking blackness and never came back out. and if oitnb was a """gritty""" """realistic""" show then it would be a different story, but oitnb is NOT. THAT. SHOW.

and to use a death that was so ****ing similar to actual deaths that have happened in the past year or so? unbelievably not okay. it was such a ****ing ****show combination of so many things they should have not even CONSIDERED, and yet, yep, here it ****ing was.

the thing is, i've never even been super invested in this show. like i binge the season and then pretty much forget about it until the next season. but i literally broke down sobbing when poussey died and i pretty much just cried all the way through ep13, and sure, tv is supposed to make you feel, but when it's like that, when this whole SEASON is filled with nothing but physical/psychological torture, then that's not okay.

so yeah, **** this show.

I used to like the show but it lost its way in season 2. They tried to be Oz or Wentworth or something, I don't know. They just lost the funny.

It's a hard line to walk in a show taking place in jail but it feels like they didn't even try.
