Delphine Cormier is really hot, but also really cute, like a puppy, so, it's really confusing for our feels. She has magical fluffy hair and speaks French and was a terrible spy. She also has a degree in immunology and if God exists, she'll save her baby Cosima. Amen.

Évelyne Brochu was born in 1983 in Quebec, Canada. She grew up in Pointe-Claire and was speaking English at an early age, saying a key turning point in learning English was when she got hooked on watching Fresh Prince of Bel Air as a kid. In 2005, Brochu graduated from Conservatoire d'art dramatique in Montreal, Canada. Some of her most prominent roles include Chloé in Inch'Allah, Rose in Café de Flore and Stéphanie in Polytechnique. As a vocalist, she appears in Elles Chantent Vigneault album, produced in 2002 by Jeune Opéra du Québec. In 2012, landed a role in Orphan Black, her first ever project in the English language.

Me, too. Delphine was supposed to look sharp enough to cut glass this season, and the straight hair was important. Tossled hair on any supposedly powerful boss--woman or man--would undercut the illusion.

Plus...EB just looks breathtaking.

It's funny seeing all those Les Loups gifs on Tumblr next to the latest Delphine gifs. She looks so soft and young in Les Loups because of her curls and relative lack of makeup. The OB makeup team has always made her look older regardless of hair, but the straight hair really gives her authority.

But, overall, EB is just a striking woman.

EB shot Les Loups two years ago, so her hair basically is S1 Delphine.

I have seen it. I bit the bullet it rented it from the National Film Board of Canada website. Problem is, my French is pretty remedial (only started learning in the last couple of years), so the lack of English subs was hard on me. My ability to follow the dialogue was approximately..."Hi, how are you? french, french, french...hotel....french french...it's good... french french...my mother....french ...fishing...french...the seal hunt... french french... eat... french french... ****.... french...my father...french..."

Luckily, the film is light on dialogue and there are French subs, so I was able to follow along and look up things when my inexperienced ears weren't doing the trick. It's a good film and it forced me to learn some new words, but I want to see it again when good English subs are available.

But you speak French, yes? So you'll be golden regardless of the subs. I've been slacking off in my French lessons lately. Need to get back to it. I refuse to live my life as a monolingual American stereotype!!!
