Yes. She was fabulous with the Sandman. I'm so glad Abbie faced him down with courage and conviction. I do wonder though if someone sent the Sandman after all those who'd wronged the sister. No one but the sister would do that though right? However, I don't think her sister would ever purposely do something like that.

Nicole did a brief interview with Essence magazine. Good read. This quote kinda broke my heart but it's so true and one of the reasons Nicole as Abbie Mills was an inspired choice, IMO.

she is right, there is a very specific demographic for what a female cop is, and Nicole defies that.

Aww I feel for Nicole in that quote and makes me more happy that she got this role. She's just not a secondary black female cop. She's a minatory strong black female character so that's a great role.

I'm happy with the casting directors on this one, wise choice to have Nicole as Abbie!
