True, the emphasis has been placed on him for several weeks, however, he knows he's one of the two reasons why the show's so successful. Tom hasn't forgotten that, besides he really is one of Nicole's biggest fan and it just makes my heart melt whenever he gets a chance to talk about her, he does it with such enthusiasm. That's why he's so awesome.

the show is successful because of the writing + Nicole/Tom. Pretty much everyone acknowledges that combination has garnered the show the buzz and fandom it has.

But Tom clearly plays a pivotal role in balancing the two time periods plus offering comedic relief... a lot definitely rests on his shoulders.

I meant the media more so than the fans.

I couldn't see anybody else playing either of their roles, honestly.

I meant the media too. A lot of praise has been for both, but even more so Nicole imo.

Really? I never hear about Nicole tbh, it's always about him, media or fans (by media I mean articles, not reviews, maybe in reviews it's different). They are both great , I get that he is the main character and the fans are crazy about him but I think she deserves a little more attention too.
