I don't think they dragged out his character at all - I think they utterly wasted him.

His importance to the show, his relationship with Ichabod....hell, even his relationship with Katrina, were all shoved aside for Jeremy Crane.

Wasn't he what this whole thing was supposed to be about and instead of utilizing him (one of the key charaters of the show!) they just threw him in the trash and made him a pathetic puppet!

Completely true and it's really such a shame.

He was suppose to be the main character next to the Witnesses and the writers ruined everything.

No you are not. A lot of people said they preferred him when he wasn't Abraham and he was cutting off heads.

I loved him either way though.
