No problem.

I got a computer monitor from work on Wednesday. A colleague brought it and it was the first time I'd seen them in person since I started working from home.

I'm here watching hurricane coverage in Texas. My dad is traveling right now, and will be coming home in the middle of it.. so I'm a bit worried!

That's good to hear.

I had a good but mostly quiet weekend, which is the usual for me due to the pandemic.

I wore a face mask for the time today to do some shopping, and apart from it being weird and comfortable and got my face all hot and sweaty, it was fine. I was able to breathe with no problem.

That's good! I hate wearing a mask. It makes my asthma so much worse! So I don't go out much because then I don't have to wear a mask.

Thanks, and I'm sorry to hear that.

We do have medical exemptions to wearing the mask, and having Asthma I was a bit worried about wearing a mask, but luckily I was ok.

I wish we had exceptions here. My mom can't wear one either because of her blood cancer. But since we don't have exemptions, if you get caught without one you get fined. So these days we just hardly go out.

I'm definitely going to be visiting my parents soon, but I need to do some figuring out, regarding train / bus times.

I know that times have changed a bit due to the virus, and taxis had been operating in the town I need to get to, but they are now.

I've got some time off work, but I could visit them during the week at a more quiet time.

Are they working? If not, during the week I'd think would be easiest for traveling.

Both of my parents have retired, although my mum would usually work one day a week. My dad's in his eighties and my mum is in her seventies.

I've decided to visit them during the week, so I can travel at a quieter time.

I got my medication today, and I usually don't have a problem walking there, but it was very hot, even though I went in the monring. I put a face mask on before going in and then got a bus back to the bus station, as I knew it was too hot for me walk that distance.

It's the first time I've been on public transport since March.
