I'm not sure. I haven't seen watched it but I haven't seen anyone say they think Empty Cas is the one who left.

The expressions he made when he got it made me think of somebody seeing sunlight for the first time. Plus, we’ve been told Cas isn’t the regular Cas we typically see when interacting with the boys. Hmm..
