You could see during the fire scene, he went from being tough on Bruce to comforting him there's a balance he's going to have.

I enjoyed that scene so much... cause I kind of expected that reaction.

Alfred is really upset with Bruce way of handling grief but then he comforted him right away. It's going to be tough at first for him to balance it out well.

^ I agree with you on that, I also haveot say that I love twith how upset he got for Bruce sneaking up on him and james, But I was alsolike "oh Alfred he is never going to stop doing that"

Their dynamic in Gotham is interesting.

Bruce just doing everything Alfred doesn't approve of... poor guy. lol

Alfred should be more easy on Bruce. Like he's been through a lot. I find this interpretation of the character different from what I'm used to.

I guess his military training is all he really knows so he's using to raise Bruce. His heart in the right place.

I don't know if he should be too easy on him, when he is too easy on him Bruce does stuff like go on top of roofs or put his hand through the fire.

He's in a tough place, all of this kind of snuck up on him like it did Bruce, and he has to adjust very quickly.

Yup that's what matters, his heart is in the right place.

lol but yelling at him for "sneaking"" around was little bit harsh. But yeah make sure he doesn't get himself killed.

I guess I don't find him too harsh... I just think he's in a tough position and he's not really sure how to handle it. He went from a friend to guardian overnight.
I also think he doesn't really know where Bruce head is, he just knows he's int in the right frame of mind.

I guess he'll eventually learn though... he'll eventually stop being stick.

I loved their relationship in other versions, but I wasn't 100% about their relationship from the pilot till this episode. I love the layers I saw in the second episode. Alfred's conflict and new role in Bruce's life, how they're trying to find a balance. I love that he brought James to the house. That dynamic between those three really interest me too. Anyway please add me!

I'm with you, with the Pilot I wasn't too sure about how their relationship would be but I was confident that I'd at least like their relationship which is why I was a fan.
I love the dynamic as well, with these two it's going to be all about finding the balance. Living up to the Wayne's wishes while applying his own set of rules.

I think so too. lol At the same time Bruce never really gets out of that mind set because of how he deals with it later. This is of course if they go the same route as the films. I'm not sure about the comics.

I think everything will stay the same as well... us fans just never really got to see Bruce at a young age, so no one really truly know what he had to go through. How he became the man, the Batman he becomes.

I guess many are use to seeing Alfred more like a friend, who supports and give good advice as well as a bit of a father figure.

So who knows probably eventually Alfred will loosen up... although at the moment, I'd saying tighten up.

Even though we know what the future brings.

Yeah, I think you're right just maybe a tweak here or there to have some surprises. It will be interesting to see that time in Bruce's life because it hasn't been explored. One reason I was interested in watching the show.

Right, we totally were use to that soft and/or sassy version of Alfred. This version is very rough around the edges and a bit stiff. Yeah, I can see him loosening up over the series, be more softer. It will be learning curve for him for sure! lol He just became a sort of father.
