I never read the book but I've also heard the book and show weren't really alike other than basic facts like Rae's problems with mental health and weight and her relationship with her mom.

I would also really love to see another season and see Rae actually getting better and working on things. Which is something that was missing in S2. I get everything wouldn't be perfect and there would be struggles but that is all we saw. We need to see more of her trying and everyone talking and etc.

It's probably exactly what you've been doing.

I think we have been waiting for news on a season 3 since April and here it is going on Sept. And that is a bunch of bull to me. I get it's the UK and things are done differently but man 6 months and we don't even know anything.

We don't even know if they are in talks at this point or even were in talks. Ugh! I've gotten to the point where I don't think a s3 is happening at all.

Doesn't seem like they are. I'd expect them to tell the fans anything if they knew even a little, even the smallest news would make fans happy at this point.
