That's how I feel. At this point even if it's a no I just want to know already so I can move on over the fact there will be no s3. I feel pretty strongly now it is a no but since it isn't confirmed either I still feel a little stuck.

So true and that is kinda what is happening to me. I am still super interested in the show but at this point I feel a s3 is not happening and I kinda just want to move on in a way. I still love the characters and want to discuss them but I have no hope right now. And with no info it makes conversations hard as most things have been discussed and there aren't many posters to help bring new life to discussions and keep it going.

I hadn't read that bit where they said they didn't want to bring the show back if they couldn't come up with fresh ideas. I think the problem here is that the first season was based on a book, a very funny book... so they managed to cover and add and it worked wonderfully, but s2 was basically ideas/situations that could have happened with Rae written by Rae and the MMFD writers. In my honest opinion, S1 is one of the best shows I've watched recently. S2 is another british teenagers show. It's another Skins... I ended terribly disappointed with most of it. So I do think, that even if the show's popular, if they can't come up with bright/good plot ideas, they should leave it as it is. That way, MMFD can be remembered for it's brilliant 1st season and it's OK/good 2nd season instead of dragging the show until it becomes SKINS and it ends awfully and we end up hating it completely

Not sure that's the case though, there are almost no similarities between the first book and the show.
Skins had a lot of problems, it started with awful writing, they were never able to portray serious issues the way MMFD does. They also killed their characters for no reason. I'd love to see another season because it's refreshing to see a show in which weight issues and mental problems are portrayed so realistically and respectfully. I can understand they might fear that there is not much left to tell but realistically she'd be still struggling. __________________
