The Maze Runner was good. But they made a lot of changes, it was not a good book adaptation. But it works as a stand alone movie. I guess it helps that Thomas is new to the place they sent them too, so the audience learns everything through him.

Probably. Some of the changes were understandable but some changes or focus shift from characters/relationships felt unnecessary. But it's always difficult with adaptations, they want to cater to the book fans but also make it likeable for the non-book audience.

Even though I haven't seen it I do agree with that changes are understandable. But I never understand changes that serve no purpose. Like why was that changed it? It sucks when they do that.

I hate that too, when they change a scene or add one, like they add kissing scenes between two people that never happened in the books just to cause more drama or form a triangle.

All triangles are awful. The person who two boys or girls are interested in is barely ever really special. Like Elena, she's so boring in comparison to some other characters on the show.
