I really liked the format of this ep, it was interesting that it was different from usual and Sherlocks embellishments/lies in the story were great

That was what I liked too. I was a bit surprised that Joan just got with it too. But it's interesting that Gregson told him to play nice, after Joan did the same in a previous episode. Sherlock thinks that the end justifies the means and now he had to realize that it's not entirely like that because people get hurt. I don't think that it will change the way he is and solves cases, but I do think that it's not a coincidence that he has his "support system" warning him and one of them even turned his back on him.

yes

even if he doesn't change the way he solves cases, I hope he will atleast learn that there are consequences to the way he chooses to work!

^ Exactly. I can't remember if it was this episode or the next one, but while Sherlock was feeling guilty/responsible, I didn't get the idea he'd handle the situation differently next time.

^ Sherlock was/is a little stuck in his ways. i loved this episode, it was the perfect mix of drama with a little comedic relief ...

Sherlock: Most of those doors were open…
Walker: In New York City? The front doors were open.
Sherlock: I was surprised as well
