“A Controlled Descent” – When Holmes’ former recovery sponsor and friend, Alfredo (Ato Essandoh), disappears, Holmes and Watson retrace his steps as Captain Gregson and Detective Bell lend NYPD’s resources to help find him. As the group races to find him, Holmes wonders if his friend is a victim of foul play, or worse, if he has relapsed into addiction, on ELEMENTARY, Thursday, May 14 (10:00-11:00 PM, ET/PT), on the CBS Television Network.

I watched this a couple days ago and I'm still disturbed by it. This eppy had me on the edge of my seat because Alfredo is a minor enough character that I thought they might let him die , so I was biting my nails over his safety. Not to mention worrying about what it would do to Sherlock !!!

Then Sherlock's sudden violence towards the rich psycho pervert was so shocking UNTIL his battering of Oscar at the end.

And they shot the ending so you really CAN"T tell if Sherlock is on drugs again or not. I would hope that Joan could tell the difference in his behavior, but she should also be able to smell it if he was cooking heroin in their house don't you think?

Someone reassure me here!!!

Then the ultimate clincher when Watson says his Dad is flying over ...my heart just stopped and I was just sitting there with my mind racing about the possibilities.

We were all just talking about this a couple months ago I believe. Who can they cast that would meet this imaginary character in our heads? Any ideas?

I loved this episode so much!

^I was on the edge of my seat too as it was hard to tell what was going to happen with Alfredo but also because Oscar is so insane that I was worried he was going to hurt Sherlock.

We were all right in predicting that Sherlock's Dad was coming and I am really excited to see who they cast. I have suggested before that Jeremy Irons would be good, but i am sure whoever they pick will be great. I have heard some people say that they would like it to be Charles Dance, too!

I know that we can't know for sure and they might be trying to trick us but it did seem like Sherlock relapsed, especially looking how he looked in the final scene.

OMGOMGOMGOMGOMGOMGOMGOMG I really cant think straight! I'm so super excited and stressed at the same time

I'm still crossing my fingers hoping Sherlock didn't use though it is clear... I also can't wait to see daddy! Charles Dance would be so perfect in that role, he was already the worse dad ever in GoT.

I hope Oscar is dead, what a worthless piece of

And best case ever, all the time I was praying Alfredo was ok.

The entire time Sherlock was kicking Oscar I was shouting, "Kick him again! HARDER!" The little druggie deserved it after waht he did to Alfredo. OMG!!

Big Daddy Holmes is coming!! O_O..... This is gonna be a good S4 opening.
