Jimmy has been acting like a narcissistic prick. He's talented, yet self-indulgent, until his contrition at last. As his coworker, Kyle sees the opportunity brought to him by Karen, a certain Broadway starlet. His castigation works, making Jimmy think twice about his attitute. The flash drive he gave Karen may open a door for him to step into the real show business.

That's very true, I think Karen will get him to grow up but it will take sometime and a lot of patience which by the looks of things Karen can put up with his antics for some reason. I just can't put a finger on why she's putting up with his jerkiness.

That jerkiness turns out to be a mix of arrogance and pride when it is borne by an artist who holds his head high to the cloud. Other than that, it was out of a prejudicial impression as he thought that he, a cool bartender and composer, shouldn't have his path crossed an "upright" Karen's. He would be nice to Karen if he really wants to help her and pursues his own dream. I have faith in him.

But I guess that Karen wants to help him first because he's good and deserves a chance (maybe she thinks about herself in this, when she was new but she wanted a chance and no one wanted to give it to her) and second because - quoting Ana - "Because he's hot, and talented and he's also a player"

I don't like it either but I guess Karen can put up with him. I know if I knew someone like him I would punch him in the face he's just terrible. But, I guess the talent he has Karen wants him to do good in his life because he is really talented I can see why she wants to help.

Ugh, as if I couldn't love him more. He's such an intriguing character, and I love how passionate he was when he and Kyle started explaining Hit List to Derek. The musical definitely seems like somewhat of a reflection of his life. I can't wait to hear more of the songs, they've been the highlights for me since the show came back.

You know what? He acts like an annoying jerk, but contrary to Derek, I can't like him for that. I liked Derek in S1 because he was annoying and bitter and jerk, but the same things in Jimmy make me dislike him. This has nothing to do with Cartwills or Karen in general...and it's even worse since it seems that they all want us to love him because of that, like we HAVE to like him because he's adorable, after all.
