Ryan is trying to push her away because he's scared of loosing her. It has been one year since the death of his wife and they've become very close. She is the only one actually willing to help him, the one she looks up to and deep down he's becoming like her father figure to her. She lost her dad and right now Ryan is the only family she got. No way she's gonna want to lose that. She knows where she's getting in, what could happen to her and she won't let anyone stop her. She's devoted to her uncle.

It's great that Ryan has someone who will support him. He needs those kind of people in his life.

I completely get why he's pushing her away because he's seen what happens to the people close to him, and I think Max gets that too. But it's like you said, she adores and loves him and wants Ryan to be in her life. They both need each other.

I love watching these two together, and I completely get why Ryan feels the need to push her away but she seems pretty stubborn so she wont go easily.

I listened to one the show's "official" podcasts and Kevin Willamson called Max a young Ryan Hardy so it makes sense that they're similar if that's one of the ways he described her.
I loved their scenes last night! You could tell how worried he was about her. __________________
