She did have some well written scenes, at least in the first two seasons. Her breakdown in S1 and the "I can't breathe" scene were the best.

I agree, but I hate when shows drag out too long and the writing flops.

Last year they started pre-production (fittings, promo shots/videos, the first table read, etc.) right in the middle of August, yeah, and I think started shooting on the 19th. So around then.
Jess tends to use her hiatuses like a summer vacation from school, though. I'd be surprised if she worked on something tbh.__________________
