OMG THE THEORY IS CORRECT!! JOCELYN IS DEAD

To be honest, the ones who got the highest rate to die was either Lydia, Aldertree and Raj.

Damn, Im kinda sad for Clary and Luke that Jocelyn is dead...and I dunno but this feels like the death might be permanent:


Also, Im excited to see what they do with Lydia, cause everyone expects her to just die in THIS episode but she didnt..

so one theory : Jocelyn died - correct

2nd theory: Lydia goes back to Idris to inform what happens or she stays at the institute

Hi guys! I'm new to this forum! I'm looking for a place to discuss shadowhunters for people who have already read the books. It's hard for me to respond to the episodes because my thoughts and beliefs are affected by what happens in the books. I know not everything that has happened and will happen are the same, but I don't want to accidentally give something away. Is there a thread on this forum that allows for that. Wow Is Jocelyn really dead?!!

Freeform spoiling the only Malec scenes in the show are starting to grate on my nerves a little

Magnus... Oh Magnus. I love that we are getting deeper into his character.. I want to know more and more. Every time I think I can't love Magnus anymore, he goes and proves me wrong

To be honest some ppl thinks that she will come back to life, Im mixed with this cause Jocelyns death was powerful to Clary in the episode, so bringing her back may reduce the death scene

BUT if they do bring her back it needs to be done properly and not "yup shes back", cause we already have Jocelyn awoke scene, and it was touching cause clary was re-united with her mom, now she's gone again, and if she comes back it will be kind of repetitive...

I loveeeee Magnus's scenes, and to see him bonding with Simon and Raphael are my favs, BUT you are right, I knew that THAT was the only scene for Malec in the show

Im crossing my fingers for none-Malec promo for 206, ya mnow, their first date...but I dunno, I might just avoid watching the video

Todd said himself that's how they do marketing, so the only way to avoid spoielrs is not to watch any vids that they post

Hi! Thanks for the welcome! Well my major idea about this episode isn't really related to the books, except I don't think that Jocelyn is really dead. That weird scene with her and Clary was a major clue. It seemed strange that Jocelyn was in Clary's room and drawing a rune of some kind. My guess is that it was someone pretending to be Jocelyn, and Valentine had asked to do something for him, maybe steal something from Clary's room. His true plan was to have the demon kill "Jocelyn", while he took her again. With everyone believing she is dead, no one is going to come looking for her. I know it sounds a bit convoluted, but it makes sense in my head.

Wow Jocelyn is dead I didn't expect that at all.

The City of Bones is so creepy still. I wasn't surprised to see Hodge in the cell next to Jace kind of like in the books.

I like that we are learning more and more about Magnus through these episodes and his friendship with Raphael.

I know I do it throughout these episode discussions as I see the differences and similarities between the books and shows. I'm sure others will too. Also like Jules said there are the books threads and S1 and S2 discussions where you are free to post your thoughts

That's very interesting and I can see that working. I would think Jocelyn would put up more of a struggle when the demon killed her. So I think someone pretending to her would be more plausible. It wouldn't be surprising if Valentine did want to take her back.

This is actually a good theory!! I honestly dunno, but I am excited with the show..granted its not the same as the books, but I've grown fond of it. To be honest I view the show as a fanfiction to the books, so it all works out.

And my favorite parts are:

- Magnus and Raphael; "my boy"!!!!!! Ahhh Magnus called Raphael his boy, his family!!
- I love that we could see Magnus was conflicted about Camille but still he did the right thing
- seriously knowing more and more about Magnus makes me love him even more, and I thought that was impossible
- Simon was once again adorable and his a smol bean I wanna protect, next to Magnus
- I love seeing Clary with Jace; which has a little bit of Clace, their chemistry this season is more on point
- Clary and Alec makes me laugh all the time with their scene
- Clary and Isabelle are so adorbs which kinda makes me wish their were *gasp*parabatais
- Im so glad Lydia is alive, I love seeing her, at first I really did not like her, even hated her, but now she's grown on me
- Jocelyn's death breaks me!! more so because of Clary and OMG Luke!! He doesnt know yet!! Im betting 205 is gonna kill him!!!

Beside, Magnus scenes and Raphael/Simon def my fav scenes.. I really love them..
