How have I not noticed this thread sooner? Can I please be added? Luke is, hands down, my favorite character in the series -- and would rank among my top ten favorite literary characters of all time. Seeing him get translated onto the big screen is something that I'm looking forward to, especially since Aidan Turner is an even cuter Luke than I imagined.

And, btw, awesome gifs! I also hadn't seen the scene of him getting hit. It kindda looks like that scene leads to the first one. He's hit, falls against the wall, and starts to wolf out.

Luke is definitely one of my favorites! Loved Aidan since The Hobbit. The second Hobbit and this film in one year. Love it!

Yeah it does look that way, but I think they're different scenes. One at his house and the other when he goes to get Jocelyn from Valentine at the end of the book. Might be wrong though.

As for getting hit. Yeah I don't recall him getting hit in that scene at his house.

Nor do I. In the book, I think Pangborn and Blackwell had just questioned him about his association with Jocelyn and any knowledge of the Mortal Cup's location. They'd made some snarky remarks to try and get a rise out of him, but the scene never escalated to violence. Luke had more or less just been trying to get rid of them, then left shortly after they had.

That's why I assumed it was connected to Renwick's. Luke had killed both of them there. I thought they might've added one of them getting in a hit on him to instigate his transformation. Then again, maybe they added the hit in to the interrogation at his house for dramatic effect.
