I’m actually glad that the show brought the whole immortality issue forward. Alec questioning Magnus’s immortality now means he actually really likes Magnus. Alec is already thinking about what the future might hold, not just for himself but for Magnus. It’s only natural for Alec to think about what this relationship will mean for the both of them in the long run and it’s fantastic that he is shown as taking Magnus’s feelings into consideration and not just what he’s currently already feeling or beginning to feel. Communication is key!

I’m honestly so excited and invested in the tv show’s mature, respectful and well written portrayal of Malec. It’s everything I could have ever hoped for!

Now we have 20 more episodes of character/relationship development to look forward too and their first date! <3

Exactly. I'm loving this "We're adults so we can actually communicate and be rational about this" air they've got going on. I think it will help them a lot with developing their relationship in a healthy way.

^ Yeah... I appreciate angst when it is authentic and legit, and this whole mortality issue is something very real between Malec.. I am so excited for season 2 to get even further into it with them
