You should respond to someone who is down within seconds to a minute of witnessing the incident. In this type of situation you have a very small time frame to save someones life, every second is crucial. I work in the medical field and I have mandatory training on this every 6 months. It’s serious business, not to be taken lightly. This tv series should be shut down, because of it’s negligence. If you can’t sufficiently protect your contestants and take proper responsibility for them, then you shouldn’t continue and potentially put future contestants at risk of this same fate. This may sound harsh, but life is precious. It’s a very taxing, competitive show, so make sure you have a proper medical team alert and ready in a moments notice. Come at me or not, it’s my opinion... It’s so easy to forget that these famous people are humans just like everyone else. People often think of them as invincible and enjoy watching their idols push themselves beyond their limits. It takes a tragedy to really bring these things to light. It makes my stomach clench, and makes me physically ill to think of this kind of thing happening. What if that was your family member?
