Meliorn didn't have an important role in COB, did he? He just got mentioned as Isabelle's fling a lot so that's probably why he was cast? I'm not sure.

He did bring them to the Seelie Queen but that was in CoA.

I think if we get to see her, it will just be in a dream/flashback so she's introduced and who she is as they would bring in elements of COA in the first season, but otherwise they'll probably keep it as it is and bring her in in season 2.
