I liked the first TMI book, but usally when I get hook on a series I would read all the ones out asap, but it took me a while to read the first 3

I read them all together because my friend was pressuring me too and I knew if I stopped after the first one I probably wouldn't go back to it since it was basically all set up I had to hope the action would start in book 2.

I like the series, but I dont know... with TID, there is just something more compelling. I don't know if the characters are just more interesting, or maybe its the setting. I can't put my finger on the exact reason.

from the outside Jace and Will have some in common before you really dig into the backstory etc. and at first I was a little put off by that because just because someone is related to someone else (especially by generations) does not mean they would be like each other. But what they really share in common is a tragic/messed up backstory and they used a guise to hide behind.

Yeah. On some levels Will and Jace may be similar, but really they aren't alike, only just by their actions, and they hate ducks

But I guess its a herondale thing that they will only love one woman in their lifetime.

TDA is set in Los Angeles.

Also I hate to bust anybodys bubble but unless they are trying to mislead us on PURPOSE in her essay in Shadowhunters and downworlder's Sara Rees Breennan says that Tessa like Magnus is a warlock, and as Cassie edited the essays I don't think she would have let it go to print with something wrong in it unless they WANTED to mislead us. What do you guys think?

well Mortmain called her a warlock once but because there was no proof of it, and no mark its always been confusing plus the real question isn't was her father a demon because in the essay it says she was a demon's child just like Magnus, a warlock. anyway the question is what was her mother that she 'didn't know what she was?' as Mortmain put it.

Well of course she would she she is a warlock because that at current knowledge is what she is. That can or won't change, we'll see soon enough.
