I felt really bad for him.

Funny that everybody (her Mom and Jace) told her Simon
didn't see her as just a friend. And she didn't believe them.

Clary was very torn between Jace and Simon for awhile. In the book, it's obvious that she's a bit jealous of Simon's attraction to Izzy, but it's probably not necessarily in a romantic way, just that they've been such good friends for so long, it's hard to not have the attention you once had from someone for a period of time like that.

I'm glad they've managed to make it work though.

It was weird because at first she wasn't attracted to Simon. Then in the second book after Simon's transformation she was all I love you Simon, wow you're beautiful without glasses and Jace was pushed aside. Then when Jace gets into a spot of bother she's all Jace again.

I'm not sure if that's quite realistic.

well she thought Jace was her brother and she was heartbroken so she fell back against what she knew was comfortable and stable in her life, aka, Simon. it's not that crazy to me
