I don't watch but apparently he was on the after-show finally stated the Carol and Daryl relationship is a mother/Son type of relationship. I'm like oh, yeah, I knew years ago but finally he put that to rest.

Was it the aftershow? I saw something on twitter and thought it was a print interview. He usually compares her to a sister and tries so hard to avoid referring to her as a mother-figure to Daryl as to not offend anyone but I guess he really had to get his point across this week.

Yeah, It was on the after show. I think he's tired of people pairing Daryl up with Carol and I don't blame him at all. It's been what? seven seasons and it isn't going to happen and he seems annoyed as hell. I think people thought without Beth on the show that the ship would sail but it hasn't and there is a reason for that, Norman, He doesn't want the ship and he has made it pretty clear. All we have to do is look at one season, four, Daryl was more intimate with Beth and showed his kind and caring side with her then he did with anyone else on this show. Norman and Emily both seemed to have really wanted Bethyl to happen as did Greg and I truly think if Beth had survived it would actually be canon. Still and Alone mad that as clear as day. He's not skirting around it anymore, he said Daryl's reunion with Carol was like a mother and son finally seeing each other.
