I guess it's nice to see that people still like the idea of Bethyl/Normily even if she's no longer on the show. They haven't been together in over a year and they are still the most talked about pairing.

I think it's a case of people not recognizing a good thing until it's gone. Maybe I'm just biased but I've seen a lot of people say the show feels weird without Beth. It could also be how bad the writing has been though.

^ I definitely think it's a mixture of both.
Effy - I understand angst is needed but there needs to be well written angst. And just killing someone off is not well written angst in my opinion. |

I think everything about Beth's story was more infuriating than truly tragic.

Though I don't see why it was slim both getting out of there. Yet everyone can make it out Terminus alive. Quote:

Honestly it makes no sense why 2 were even there in the first place.
I love so far (unless something happened in 5b) she has been the only other one to hold that and for him to train her. |

She definitely didn't need to be at grady and no one needed to die but carol helping a woman who was being abused would have actually sense but that's not what the show did right? Which just further convinces me that the writers truly are dense.
I don't know how they'll ever have Daryl teach someone to use it without it seeming contrived imo. It'll always be a reminder of Beth. __________________

Someone dying in two mid season finales and both were apart of the Greene family seemed redundant, but Carol shouldn't have been in that hospital from the get go but she seem to be in everyone's story and I even heard non Beth fans say she shouldn't have been at Grady. I don't think they ever had any intention of killing off Beth but things got rewritten which is what the writer said on twitter. So now Carol was suppose to die in S3 and Tdog died instead and there was talk on how she was suppose to die last season but instead Beth. I can see why people talk because it's odd that your character is suppose to die twice and yet two other characters who haven't had a chance to grow get killed but your time is up and you're still on the show. Something isn't right there.
It had very little to do with abuse and more to do with her wanting to kill. It's like that's all she thinks about is killing and killing. It would have been a great opportunity for her to talk to Jesse about her experience but this wasn't about Jesse and her son being abused. The only reason he let Beth do it is because he felt comfortable around her because he doesn't seem like the teaching kind. I'm still pissed that we were suppose to see her use her track skills and never did, though she suppose got out of Grady via a car and we never saw that either. __________________
