Synopsis for the next several episodes:

705 "Brooklyn Housing"

Quote:

Mike juggles his work obligations with his promise to help a hurting family. Harvey asks for Louis's discretion in handling a sensitive matter. Donna vets a possible addition to the firm.

706 "Home to Roost"

Quote:

Mike deals with blowback on his prison case. Harvey struggles to tell Donna about his relationship with Paula. Louis's past poor behavior comes back to haunt him.

707 "Full Disclosure"

Quote:

Maybe we're starting to see movement on the Darvey front. I"m not a Darvey shipper, but the will-they-or-won't-they aspect of their relationship needs to be addressed one way or the other. Maybe introducing a new love interest for Harvey, then introducing Donna's ex is a way of moving that story forward, in an indirect way.

I think it is. That's what I felt last night. Such an issue was being made out of Harvey not telling Donna about Paula, when he doesn't owe her an explanation and they've never really shared that way anyway, that I thought it was coming. It's not like Harvey and Donna have never dated before. Donna usually knows more about Harvey's life because she's Donna, not because they have regular heart to hearts. Also, they wrapped the episode up with Donna asking him to stay for drinks and talking about how she missed them talking.

Now we've got Donna's ex for 2 episodes. I wonder if that is episodes 7 and 8. They seem to be about her personal life.

I want Darvey to get together, but done right. For instance, no cheating on Paula. That would be OOC for Harvey and probably Donna. And a horrible way to start a relationship.

I think you're right--the episode guide at TV Guide has Jay Harrington listed as a guest for eps 7 and 8...also, Rachael Harris, who played Shiela Sazz will guest in ep 8...and Leslie Hope,who played Anita Gibbs, will be back in eps 7 and 8. Paul Schulz, who plays Frank Gallo, will still be around too.

Good news, at least for me, the actors who portray Oliver and Nathan are not listed for eps 7 and 8.

But it looks like the pasts of several characters may, or may not, come back to haunt.

ETA: Sarah Rafferty replied to someone on Twitter to expect Donna flashbacks, but she didn't say in what context.

I wonder if Donna's ex is the guy Louis referenced way back in S2 when Donna was on the stand at the mock trial-the one she chose work-i.e. Harvey- over. This might also fit in with Donna flashbacks.

Plus, I think Alex/Harvey are supposed to have flashbacks too.

I'm thrilled for a break from Oliver and Nathan. I'd like a permanent one.

I love what Stephen said once to Donna : "so you're choosing what you don't have with him over something that you do have with me"

and she did the same exact thing with the guy Louis referenced at the mock trial

I'd forgotten about the reference to Donna's ex at the mock trial in s2--that would be a fantastic callback if Mark is that guy.

I'm excited for the flashbacks, which I think will come in 708 "100", but I hope that episode focuses more on the core relationships than on "new" old relationships.
