My favorite season premier since the pilot, and that's hard for me to say because each has been very good or excellent in their own way.

Favorite moments of this episode, in random order--

1. Mike's tough love with Harvey, and Harvey responding to Mike's push that he declare himself managing partner.

2. Harvey's confrontation in the bathroom with Donna and Louis, making it clear that he was in charge and supporting Donna for senior partner.

3. Louis's apology to Rachel, and his self-awareness that he was in no position to manage the associates right now.

4. Donna's declaring her desire to be a senior partner, and standing up for herself in general.

5. The banter between Mike and Harvey. Pick a scene.

Paula/Harvey ? No comment this is so wrong on so many levels and I'm not only saying this as a Darvey shipper, if they wanted Harvey to have a girlfriend we already knew, Scottie or Zoe would have been the perfect choices, just sayin'

Anyway, love the episode, the Marveyness was on fire, love my babies so much

I'm so happy we FINALLY got a meaningful Donna/Mike scene, probably my favorite moment of the entire episode

Love how everyone was trying to help Louis for his own good, PSL is really one big family

Bonus point for Harvey in his car the can opener Freida Pinto reference I was so not ready to hear her name

I can't believe I forgot to list the Mike/Donna scene--that was beautiful, and probably the most meaningful scene they've ever shared.

Dr. Agard's return as a love interest for Harvey was a surprise. On one level, from Harvey's perspective, I can imagine he feels safe with her, and he feels driven to make what he thinks is a positive change in his personal life. But, I don't really understand Paula's motivation. I remember feeling relieved when there was no hint of attraction between them when Harvey was in therapy, not because of Donna but because I wanted Harvey to take his sessions with her seriously. It feels a little like that has been thrown out the window.

But, I hope this attempt at a relationship could finally force Harvey and Donna to deal with the elephant in the room. They need to decide whether they want to try for "more" than close friendship. It's time. Their lack of awareness and/or avoidance, whether subconscious or not, is approaching tedium. I'm not a Darvey shipper, and I don't really care whether they're together or not EXCEPT for the fact it's becoming evident for both these characters that they can't deal with their stuff. I want them to start acting like adults.

Saw it!!!

Yay for the episode! It was good!!!
But yes, why Harvey and the doctor? If not Donna, then I'd much
rather have Scottie or Zoe!
I mean, we joked about it, we didn't mean it!

I also loved the Rachel and Donna scene, however small

And Mike and his bike! Always good

As much as we might've preferred to see Harvey try again with either Scottie or Zoe, Abigail Spencer is working on Timeless and Jacinda Barrett is working on a movie. Neither would've been available for the amount of time needed to be Harvey's love interest.

I'm just going to wait and see where it goes, let the story play out.

not a fan of harvey and the therapist at all. just find that relationship so wrong

so glad donna found something she wants and is going after it and that harvey is supporting her decision to be a managing partner

loved the bathroom showdown

hated the way that louis talked to rachel, but im glad he apologized to her later

Over-all, great start to the season, even the stuff I find difficult to swallow. The episode was entertaining from beginning to end. And full of surprises.

Harvey/Mike banter- awesome. Loved it all. Glad Mike got Harvey to step up. I'm sure there will be more bumps in the road as he navigates the new role.

I have a feeling I'm going to be annoyed by Mike and his pro bono cases though. Oliver drove me nuts with his self righteousness and Mike has a similar streak. Just as long as he doesn't quit again. There's been enough of that from him.

I want Darvey to get together, but I don't mind Harvey and Paula for now. IF they allow Harvey to show he's grown some. I don't want to see another train wreck a la Scottie. It's been 3 seasons since he has so much as attempted a relationship- and GM plays charming romantic lead so well- I'd like to see all that time he spent in therapy and working things out with his family pay off in this area of his life too. IRL, this would be weird, but this is Suits. Plenty of crazy plots. I always liked the Paula/Harvey scenes in S5 and thought they sold their scenes the other night. Yeah, it was a surprise. But, I can buy the attraction anyway. But I do hope for Darvey soon. Donna always knew the Scottie relationship was doomed. It'll be interesting to see how she views this one. She wants more- maybe this will push her to tell Harvey she wants more from him personally.

So Donna is a partner. I'll go with it. Integral as she is to the firm, it's a bit hard to swallow though. Mostly I hope she struggles with it. A lot. Everyone else has had goals that it took a long time to reach. She decided she wanted more in the finale and got it by the end of episode 1. So, I hope she makes mistakes, that it isn't easy for her. I love Donna, but she hasn't had the long term personal and professional struggles (or goals) that everyone else has had. She's almost always right and perfect and awesome and her problems have tended to be resolved in 1-2 episodes max. I love her character, but if she gets to be partner, it should be a real learning curve for her, just like managing partner will be for Harvey. Or Rachel managing the associates.

Louis was a mess. I think he'll come out better in the end. He was so nasty though. That was about the worst ever imo from him.

Gretchen was awesome. We need lots of her.

Thank you!

I love Esther too, but she's Louis' sister. That took Harvey and Louis' relationship to its lowest point, which is saying something. So, sadly, that's better off left alone imo. I really think there's probably too much baggage with Scottie- setting aside the real life scheduling issues.

I forgot to mention this, but Harvey did show some growth with his reaction to Donna asking to leave his desk. He took it really well, such a contrast from the other 2 times she left. I'm sure there will be an inevitable adjustment, but he responded well. His main issue was her lack of qualifications.

Really, I do wonder what Donna's supposed to do all day now. Maybe we'll see her figure that out too.
