Suits Episode Discussion: 4x08 - "Exposure" [Airs August 6th, 2014]

I loved that Mike was back "home," but I completely understand Jessica's POV. Mike working there is always going to haunt her and the firm.

I was kind of annoyed that Rachel kept hounding Mike, he needed space to breathe. But I do like what she told him when she showed up at his hotel room. Obviously, it worked lol.

Louis. I love Louis, but damn. Next week is going to be rough!!!

Missed Jeff this week, he's the best addition to this cast IMO, so I'm glad he's back next week.

Donna is always amazing :)

Guess what, "Suits" fans -- Donna totally had sex with Harvey one time, and now the Season 4 episode, "Exposure," has given its audience the full story.

The long-buried and only occasionally referenced secret comes out when Donna (Sarah Rafferty) is trying to give Rachel (Meghan Markle) a pep talk about going back to work, even though she and Mike (Patrick J. Adams) are going through a rough patch.

So what happened? And when?

Here's the story, straight from Donna's mouth:

"It was once, and I never would've done it if we were still working together. But then he left the D.A.'s office and ... It happened. And then the next time that I saw him, he wanted to come with him to the firm, and I did. And that was that."

Obviously, the relationship didn't ever progress from that one, long-ago moment. Donna wanted it to though: "I would've wanted to try. But he wasn't ready," the super-secretary explains of what happened next.

But she isn't sad that things worked out as they have. "Everything turned out the way it was supposed to," Donna says in the present day.

After last week’s explosive episode, how will Mike readjust now that he is back at Pearson Specter? Suits season 4, episode 8, “Exposure,” airs tonight on USA Network.

In case you have not had a chance to see last week’s episode, we suggest you avoid the spoilers below and go read our recap from “We’re Done” right away. Trust us – you want to get caught up.

Bad: Louis Litt is now entwined with Forstman and his illegal dealings, and he feels so guilty because of it. Badder: Mike moved out of his and Rachel’s apartment. Worse: Jessica Pearson is not happy about Mike Ross and his fraud of a law degree coming back to Pearson Specter.

At least there are a few people at the firm are happy to see Mike back home. There’s Donna, “welcome home, sailor;” Harvey: “it’s good to have you back where you belong;” and even Louis welcomes him back: “the prodigal son returns.”

If only Jessica and Rachel were as enthralled to have him back. Neither are crazy to have him back working in close quarters. Jessica is worried about the FBI breathing down their necks, and as Rachel points out in the preview video, she is Harvey’s associate. Ergo, any case Mike works with Harvey, by the transitive property, he is also working with her. But he still needs “space.”

And when Sean Cahill shows up with a search warrant, they better find a comfy room under the cupboard to stuff Mike and his skeletons. Will they be able to escape from under the dutiful eye of yet another man, suspicious of Mike and/or Harvey?

“Suits” Season 4 Episode 8 “Exposure” aired on Wednesday, Aug. 6, 2014, at 10:00 p.m. on USA Network. Harvey and Mike teamed up against Sean Cahill, while Louis admitted he made a mistake. Read on to learn more about this episode.

Previously on “Suits” (“Exposure” air date: Aug., 6, 2014), Rachel (Meghan Markle) was struggling to give Mike (Patrick J. Adams) the space he wanted. Donna (Sarah Rafferty) told her to let things turn out the way they were supposed to. Donna revealed to Rachel that she slept with Harvey (Gabriel Macht). Although she also admitted that she wanted to try a relationship with Harvey, she does not want to push things and risk losing him.

Sean Cahill (Neal McDonough) would not stop. He showed up at Pearson Specter with a search warrant, stating that all documents related to the takeover of Gillis Industries be handed over to him. However, Jessica (Gina Torres) and Harvey appealed to the original judge who was not-so-happy that Sean bypassed him. He then reversed the search warrant.

It turned out that Logan Sanders (Brendan Hines) finally have his revenge as he demanded for Harvey and Mike’s conversation involving Gillis. Since the two did not collude, Harvey was not worried of handling over the documents including those that involved Forstman. But what about Louis (Rick Hoffman)? Mike came up with a plan. They will turn over the documents, and when Sean does not find anything, he will be answerable to malicious prosecution.

Louis, on the other hand, was worried about his illegal dealings with Forstman (Eric Roberts). He went to Katrina (Amanda Schull) to help him cover his tracks. Meanwhile, Forstman’s idea was to create another document and have Harvey’s name on it. Louis would not do that.

Finally, Mike managed to put everything together about what Louis did and told Harvey. Harvey was now looking for Louis.

Rachel went to Mike’s hotel room. But before Mike could even close the door, Rachel reminded him of an image that she could not get rid of: Mike and Tess together in bed. Then Rachel told Mike that she needed to decide whether he loves her more than he hates what she did. Before the episode ended, we saw Mike at Rachel’s doorstep, insinuating that they go home. Meanwhile, Louis revealed to Jessica that he made a huge mistake.

Patrick J. Adams recently offered some juicy tidbits about what is coming up on SUITS for the rest of the season.

Initially, he spoke about the fact that his character, Mike Ross, will now be getting more responsibility at the firm, considering how he held his own against Harvey in their recent showdowns.

“They’re back on the same side, but there’s also been eight episodes of Mike really going toe-to-toe with Harvey. Even though at the end of the day he lost this battle, he’s proven that he can hold his own against Harvey. There were a lot of little battles along the way that he kept winning that Harvey did not expect him to. So that changes their dynamic a little bit and might make Harvey trust Mike a little more, give him more responsibility,” Adams said. “[They have] less of a mentorship relationship and more of a real partnership where, slowly, they’re becoming more equal.”

The actor also discussed whether he would reestablish himself as Harvey’s only associate, a position that his ex has maintained since his absence from the firm.

“We kind of sidestep it a little bit. When he does return, it’s made clear that Rachel is still in that power position with Harvey and she’s still doing a lot of that work. Obviously, Mike is going to end up getting the brunt of it because they’re the team and Harvey trusts Mike implicitly,” Adam said. “Moving forward, Mike will also be getting cases from other people and his responsibility, in general, is going to be upped a little bit. And of course, he’s always got to be watching his back and making sure he’s not leaving room open for Jessica to get him out of there. That’s the danger he always lives with. You’re going to find that there are larger threats outside the firm that force everybody to come together and work together rather than try and fight between each other.”

Finally, Adams discussed whether his rooming arrangement with his boss will continue and apparently that is addressed in tonight’s episode.

“I don’t want to spoil anything, but there are a couple of really good scenes where we deal directly with that in this next episode and we get to see how Harvey really feels about their relationship. We begin to see what the next steps for Rachel and Mike are going to be. There’s a lot of interesting stuff to be played there in the wake of a betrayal. These are two people that have been really doing nothing but falling in love for the past few years. Now, you’re going to get to see them faced with something that a lot of relationships in the real world are faced with. So I won’t tell you where he’s sleeping at night. You’ll get a lot of interesting stuff in the next couple of episodes.”

Do you know that you can also post the others confessions ?

Licia 08-12-2014 06:19 AM

Yes seriously wth!

I usually stay away from Rachel or M/R hate/bashing but this time I can't...like no.
You don't have to like Rachel but there's seriously no point in posting that(or any kind of those ridiculous confessions for that matter) unless you want to start some silly arguments. This board doesn't need that. Whatever.

Sweetgirl465 08-12-2014 10:34 AM

Gio Gio can you please not post those confessions in the episode discussion thread,
thank you:flowers:
