Heart explosion.

They hug with their eyes.

Patrick said when they first read the script at the table read, everyone cheered when they read that Mike was finally in the Bar.

i love darvey too though but i just dont have high hopes for that.

Mike/Harvey, on the other hand, is the show's central, most important, relationship, and the original premise rested on the strength of their bond. Now that the original premise no longer exists, their relationship has progressed to the point that the audience cares a great deal about that, and the original premise (Mike's secret) no longer matters. Now it's just about Harvey and Mike, the characters, and the story can go anywhere.

Whatever the reason, I'm glad Aaron chose bromance over romance. I recently listened to the commentary for the pilot and was reminded that Gabriel and Patrick never tested together during the casting process. Amazing. Talk about just getting lucky, though I think Gabriel and Patrick worked hard prior to shooting to develop a personal and working relationship.
thats nuts! they have such an amazing chemistry together and they obviously get along great in real life. so glad it worked.

season 1 was just.. man, they gave me the feels in all their scenes.

i hated that they never hugged after mike was released. it felt weird to me.

i guess i am in the minority but i dont want rachel and mike getting married. snoosefest x100. no offense to anyone.

I first read that Gabriel and Patrick hadn't tested together in an interview Patrick did with TV Guide several years ago, just after season 1. He was interviewed with Matt Bomer (of White Collar) and Warren Ealy (of Common Law, which lasted only one season). Patrick asked Matt and Warren if they had chemistry-tested with their co-stars (they had), expressing disbelief that he and Gabriel never read together during the casting process.

Aaron has said that they (the network) simply ran out of time. They knew they wanted Patrick and Gabriel separately, so they just had to trust the process, and trust the actors to make it work. Obviously, they did, and still do.

I miss White Collar too, and thought it ended too soon. Viewers are fighting for a comeback, but I don't see it happening in the near future. Both Matt Bomer and Tim DeKay are too busy right now. Matt is currently filming a series for Amazon Video called The Last Tycoon--the pilot was amazing--and Tim currently has a recurring role on ABC's American Crime (arguably the most important and relevant series on television) and will be starring in a comedy pilot for Fox with Because I Said So/Gilmore Girls/Parenthood's Lauren Graham.

Yes, Tim plays the role of Lauren's character's husband. I'm excited that he's going back to comedy. Everybody knows his role as the "bizarro Jerry" on Senfeld, and he also had a recurring role on The New Adventures of Old Christine with Julia Louis Dreyfuss in that show's later seasons.

Season 6 of White Collar is very satisfying, even if only 6 episodes.

Yes, there are only 6 episodes in season 6. At the time, I was disappointed by so few episodes, but I've since learned it was 6 episodes or nothing. USA Network almost cancelled White Collar outright after season 5 (which would've been awful, considering how season 5 ended) but relented, allowing the series to end gracefully. In retrospect, I suspect cancellation was less of a ratings issue and more of a matter of USA Network not thinking White Collar fit into the network's new, somewhat darker brand (that features more complex fare like Mr. Robot and Shooter, among others--Suits is the only holdover from USA's "blue sky, characters welcome" era, but Suits has evolved nicely to fit USA's new vision).
