In that scene, it felt almost like Gabriel and Gina were having the conversation, as well as Harvey and Jessica. I know they were all happy and excited to have Gina on set, and I loved that all six were in those scenes together. (Patrick even said that he was sure she'd be back.)

Something else I learned while listening to a DVD commentary--Aaron had conceived of Jessica Pearson as an older woman, but thought Gina brought such power to the role that he felt she could convey the strength, experience, knowledge, restraint, and wisdom of someone older, and whom Harvey would consider a mentor.

Yeah I've read that. As I recall Jessica character was gonna be a white man in his 50s. Harvey and Jessica has a bond as much as like a family, it's beyond mentorship. It was so lovely to watch them and I miss them so much :melt:

There are parallels between Jessica/Harvey and Harvey/Mike, including the fact that both relationships are more than mentorships.

I miss Jessica/Harvey too, and it will be interesting to see, as Harvey takes over for Jessica at the firm, how much he learned about being a managing partner from her. For example, will he learn to exercise self-control when, before, he might've acted on impulse without considering the consequences. (His first act as managing partner is the deal he made with Mike, a deal for which neither considered the potential consequences.)

Self-control is something Harvey has missed in the past :nod: :lol:
