| I am actually loving the whole drama behind The View. I usually am not into "behind the scenes" scandals but this is just too delicious to pass up. I was never a big fan of Star and she really did get unbearable after the whole wedding thing. I dont think either side is really in the clear from messing up but I just think the whole thing is really funny. Star should have just did the announcement as planned instead of springing it on the wrong day. Ofcourse she needed the attention for herself. | Did anyone else watch Larry King tonight and notice that everything she said when she found out was between her and just one other person in the room? Like Star and Barbara or Star and Bill. It seems awfully suspicious to me. Star said she wouldnt say anything bad about Barbara but said to The New York Times or something that she called Barbara a hypocrite. | Feh, I'm kinda on Team Barbara on this one. Star is such an attention whore. It's been a huge rumor going on since Rosie signed on that Star was leaving and instead of just going out with grace she went and caused all this drama when there was no need too. At this point Star Jones is just a punchline anyway so I can't blame ABC/The View producers for wanting to get rid of her. Star will probably get some show or something because of this whole thing but still she's just....like I said before an attention whore. __________________ where it says "describe your ideal career," you've just drawn a picture of a snake. yeah. | |||

| I hate The View and especially Barbara Walters but I think all of this drama could have been avoided if the producers hadn't made a big deal about Star announcing 2 days early that she was leaving. 2 days? Seriously? They're upset over that?!  This show sucks even more now that Meredith is gone. | I'm with Star on this one just cause she decided to go out her way. They were goign to make it seem like it was Star's decision (or a mutual decision) to leave when she was essentially fired and not just fired but then they hire your rival. That's a lot to take and I with all the decisions being made for me I would want to go out my own way, instead with some pre-planned statement made for me by the people who are firing me. Now from what I understand lots of crew and staff were happy to see her go and she's a diva etc, and I don't suport how she tried to use the show to get free stuff for her wedding but either way I support how she took her leaving into her own hands. The whole issue of the show being reduced to a catfight is stupid though. If this were a panel of men and they had a disagreement like this no one would categorize them as catty. It's a shame that these women can't have a disagreement without that being some kind of banner hanging over them. | I think they all have egg on their face after this. Star isn't the innocent victim here and Barbara should've saw this coming just based on Star's personality. But they're both acting surprised to try to make it seem like the other crossed them when they just crossed each other. But overall I don't feel sorry for either. Star got what she wanted and that's for people to pay attention to her even when she's not on the show. And The View is probably getting better ratings now because of all this so Barbara is likely happy also. | |||
