Lit1586 Since the thread was lost, but we didn't really get very far considering it just premiered tonight, I figured it was a good time to kick us off again. I hope you guys don't mind the title.....I got it from all the sweet things Marjorie said to him. So, what did you guys think of the show? I am hooked....I think it has plenty of potential. And just as I thought, I seriously  Brian and Marjorie! I think it's going to be so exciting seeing them trying to put his feelings he has for her, and the ones she has been awoken to having for him aside, and go back to how they used to be. I have a feeling they will share many more stolen glances in the meantime.  I also loved Dave, he was such a sweetie! And I have to mention I loved Amy Jo Johnson guest-starring as Karen "The Car Girl", she was so hilarious being so neurotic!  "I'M GETTING A RESTRAINING ORDER!" | I thoroughly enjoyed this last night and even rewatched a few things after. I'm excited about the show and love everything that you mentioned, Anji. I'm planning to do a more comprehensive rundown of both eps at the end of the week.I'm tempted to watch tonight instead of tape and watch later, but I have too much work to do. Here's an article posted on Zap2it First Date Goes Pretty Well for 'Brian' ABC show now has to survive move to Monday April 17 2006 Sarah Lancaster and Barry Watson on 'What About Brian'Ratings for the premiere of "What About Brian" were good Sunday, but they weren't great. So we're picturing the mood at ABC to be one that invokes another Brian: Always look on the bright side of life. That refrain closes Monty Python's "Life of Brian," and it's probably the way the network is choosing to look at the show's debut performance. First, then, the good news: "What About Brian," about the last single guy (Barry Watson) in a group of 30-something friends, averaged 12.84 million viewers in its maiden voyage Sunday night. It also scored a healthy 5.6 rating in the adults 18-49 demographic that advertisers love so dearly, according to preliminary Nielsen ratings (final numbers will be released Tuesday). Both numbers were enough to win its 10 p.m. ET time period, by a slim margin in total viewers (over NBC's "Crossing Jordan," 12.46 million) and by quite a bit among adults 18-49 ("Jordan" again, which drew a 3.7). It retained almost three-fourths of the 18-49 rating from lead-in "Desperate Housewives," which scored a 7.7 in the demographic. "Brian's" premiere audience is on par with that of "Boston Legal," which drew just over 13 million viewers in the 10 p.m. Sunday spot in fall 2004. "Grey's Anatomy," which occupies that slot now, debuted to 16.2 million viewers a little over a year ago. Now, the bad news: "What About Brian" fell well short of a typical "Grey's Anatomy" episode this season. So far in 2005-06, the medical drama is averaging 19.8 million viewers and an 8.8 rating among adults 18-49. Additionally, "Brian" moves to 10 p.m. Mondays starting tonight, where it will have a smaller lead-in ("Supernanny") and fairly tough competition in CBS' "CSI: Miami" and NBC's "Medium." If, say, three-fourths of its premiere audience follows "Brian" to its regular time period, ABC would probably be fairly happy. | I only watched the Pilot ... and I loved it. The show instantly reminded me of "Felicity" ... in a good way. Barry Watson owns the role ... he sold it, and I can't wait to see what else happens to Brian. Sarah Lancaster never looked better ... she lit up the screen ... and she's my (born again) TV crush. And she looks great as a brunette. I can't wait to see what'll happen between Brian/Marjorie/Adam ... the next great love triangle. __________________ my religion is you | |||

| So, do you guys have any fave characters yet, or is it still too soon? As of now, I am really liking Dave, Dave, Marjorie, Nic, and Angelo....I guess not really liking Deena right now. I think it's the whole open-marriage thing, so not feeling that. But I do like her, just not as much, though, Dave, Brian, and Marjorie are my current faves. | Brian is definitely my favorite, but I really like Dave and Nic too.
