Vegas - In the battle for the soul of a city one man wants to save it another wants to own it.
 Source Dennis Quaid and Michael Chiklis star in VEGAS, a drama inspired by the true story of former Las Vegas Sheriff Ralph Lamb, a fourth-generation rancher tasked with bringing order to Las Vegas in the 1960s, a gambling and entertainment mecca emerging from the tumbleweeds. Ralph Lamb (Quaid) wants to be left in peace to run his ranch, but Las Vegas is now swelling with outsiders and corruption which are intruding on his simple life. Recalling Lamb's command as a military police officer during World War II, the Mayor appeals to his sense of duty to look into a murder of a casino worker - and so begins Lamb's clash with Vincent Savino (Chiklis), a ruthless Chicago gangster who plans to make Vegas his own. Assisting Lamb in keeping law and order are his two deputies: his diplomatic, even-keeled brother Jack (Jason O'Mara) and his charming but impulsive son, Dixon (Taylor Handley). Ambitious Assistant District Attorney Katherine O'Connell (Carrie-Anne Moss), who grew up on the ranch next to the Lambs, also lends a hand in preserving justice. In Vegas, two powerful men - Lamb and Savino - are engaged in a fierce battle for control of the budding oasis, and for both of them, folding is not an option. Nicholas Pileggi, Greg Walker, Cathy Konrad, Arthur Sarkissian and James Mangold, who also directed the pilot, are the executive producers for CBS Television Studios. I was interested in the show before she was casted. I think the whole cast is amazing and the premises is neat idea especially since it's based of a true story. Her being part of the show will be great add.

I really enjoyed the pilot! I love the relationships between the Lambs. I have a feeling I'm going to be the only one on FF to enjoy and watch it.
 I really hope it does well. I'm looking forward to more episodes! __________________

Yeah it sad that it's not seen by more people. It's getting better with each episode.
I love them too, but yikes I don't know how they're relationship will survive after the latest episode. Jack didn't have any real choice, but him not telling her... I've been looking at list on web sites and it looks like it's a show that might not be picked up for a second season.  ETA: Ugh never mind I think I have changed my mind. I don't like direction they're taking Jack and they totally sunk my ship. __________________

Oh man..that doesn't sound good. I honestly don't know how Jack and Mia can work out with Jack lying to her, even if he did it with good intention.
What direction are they taking Jack? Gosh, if the show don't get pick up from a second season, i hope the finale is a happy one for Jack and Mia. __________________

I can't either.
The whole lying to Mia and to his brother. Falsifying police documents and keeping that lie with Vincent Savino. I can already tell that Vincent Savino is going to ask Jack to do things, illegal things if he want the secret to kept a secret. __________________

Yeah, im not surprised if Savino does use Jack to do some cleaning, but Savino has something to loss too.
Its going to be interesting seeing Mia "dead" mom shows up. And from what I been reading, there's a big twist to it too. If it is what I think it is, it might lessen the blowout between Mia and Jack...maybe. __________________
