Veep is a forthcoming 2012 HBO television comedy series set in the office of a fictional U.S. vice-president. The programme is created by Armando Iannucci, based upon the style of the BBC television sitcom The Thick of It. After a 2011 pilot written by Iannucci and Simon Blackwell, the series was commissioned for a full season.[1] The series is set to premiere on April 22, 2012.

Centers on former Senator Selina Meyer who finds being Vice President of the United States is nothing like she expected and everything everyone ever warned about.

Former senator Selina Meyer was a rising star in her party, a charismatic leader with White House potential. Then she became Vice President. Julia Louis-Dreyfus stars in Veep, a new HBO comedy series created by Armando Iannucci that follows the whirlwind day-to-day existence of the Vice President as she puts out political fires, juggles a busy public schedule and demanding private life, and defends the president’s interests, even as she tries to improve her dysfunctional relationship with the chief executive. The cast also includes Tony Hale, Anna Chlumsky, Matt Walsh, Reid Scott, Timothy C. Simons and Sufe Bradshaw.

  • Julia Louis-Dreyfus as Vice President Selina Meyer
  • Anna Chlumsky as Amy Brookheimer, Chief of Staff.
  • Tony Hale as Gary Walsh, Vice President Selina Meyer's body man.
  • Matt Walsh as Mike Mclintock, Director of Communications.
  • Timothy Simons as Jonah Ryan, White House liaison.
  • Reid Scott as Dan Egan, Deputy Director of Communications at the White House.
  • Sufe Bradshaw as Sue Wilson, executive assistant to the Vice President.

I still think Anna Chlumsky who played Amy should of won a Emmy for her portrayal, she was so good.
