ive watched 5 episodes and still cannot find myself caring that much about the show. i am just not hooked. what episode did the show really start to get better? or were you guys hooked immediately?

I was hooked immediately. This show speaks a lot to me having lost my father 4 years ago so I can relate to the Pearsons in that way, that grief never really leaves you even though you are okay on the outside.

The show will let us see how they struggle through it and at the same time see how a black person, Randall, navigates his life living with a white family (in the flashbacks).

Damn. They already shot some scenes from the final scene of the show when it ends. While I don't see the show ending just yet, at least they've shot it already this early on. They made sure.

I just feel like its REALLY cheesey in parts. And I kinda hate how separated the whole show is, like, I want more family moments.

Thats why the flashbacks are my favorite parts. I also love Randall and his SL but I find the other two siblings pretty boring.

Fair enough, I think Kate and moreso Kevin's storylines get an bit more interesting in S1 and at the start of S2.
