I didn't see a thread so I started one

Is anyone else excited about this miniseries? I absolutely love Henry VIII and I've studied his life so much. I even wrote a 15 page research paper on him that I got an A on

And this Henry VIII is looking mighty fine if I do say so myself. This is the Henry that's nice to look at.

I've watched the first two episodes on YahooTV and so far so good. People are being so analytical about this miniseries and dissecting everything but in the big picture....ALL of the actors play the roles to a T...it's scary

I was watching the repeat of "Dexter" last night and originally had no intention of staying tuned in for "The Tudors" but I got hooked. Even though the show seems to be a glamorization of Henry VIII, I will continue watching for the fascinating entertainment that the actors, the costumes and the script provide. I never thought I'd be so taken in by a historical tv series but here I am. Looking forward to watching the whole series on Showtime.

I missed the premire episodes

damm college no showtime....but I'm getting it taped. He plays Henry so good and the lady who plays Katherine is good too.

I am recording them on my DVR and just watched the first episode. Oh my God! I am so going to enjoy this show. It's full of HAWT! JRM and Henry Cavill are two of my favorite people, ever.

Henry sure is good looking in this production. The real Henry would have been jealous. The real Henry would also laugh at the actor's black hair, as the real Henry never had black hair in his life. He was Big Red!

But, does it really matter? Red hair, black hair, it's all the same to me. Only because JRM is too hot for my tv screen.

Anyway people who worry about the hair need to get a grip. Hello folks.....Katharine of Aragon was a pale redhead with blue eyes.....LOOK it up. She didn't look Spanish at ALL.

Yes, Henry had red hair...actually auburn but so did Katherine and Anne's eyes were brown.

The actors fit the bill and are doing really well. I hope The Tudors cleans up at the Emmy's this September like Elizabeth I did

So far I'm really enjoying the show. Seriously, I've always been a Jonathan Rhys-Meyers fan but he just continues to impress and look SExIER if that is even possible. The man exudes charisma.

I don't want a by the book history lesson, so I'm glad we're getting more of a "Sex and the City" look at Henry.

I know, right. I know more than enough about Henry so it's nice to see some liberties taken.
