Summer Series

It seems like this summer has the most new shows in a long time.

I saw the pilot of "Summerland". I was looking foward to it because the WB has some decent dramas but it was a letdown. Unwatchable.
"North Shore" was a disappointment too. It's no "O.C" like FOX is billing it. Living up to a hype of an established show is hard for any new show (for example, US version of "Coupling") but its too formulaic. I was at least hoping for something like "Melrose Place" in Hawaii but the storylines are too predictable.

But there are some highlights. "The Simple Life 2" is pretty alright. The return of "The Dead Zone" is great. The season opener was a very intriguing eppy. The new season of "Six Feet Under" is looking good too. (I like bad Fredrico ;-) )

Any thoughts?

The 2-hour Pilot of Summerland was dragging, but the two later episodes were okay. I'm liking North Shore, not the best but good. I enjoyed the Simple Life 2 (considering I barely liked SL1). And the fox show Quintuplets is okay. I'm enjoying the return of Oliver Beene as well.

I actually like this idea of summer programming. Though I cannot say I've gotten into any series yet.

Tough I find Joe Schmo 2 hilarious, and the elmination rounds of Last Comic Standing were aweome.

I enjoy summer programming(The O.C. was my favorite last year and this year I'm getting into 'the north shore'), but although I don't want to see reruns, I would be really disappointed if I fell in love with a show and it had an summer run and was really good and never returned.
