That article from TVLine (and other media outlets) is not confirmation of either departure--it only confirmed the rumors about the possibility of Meghan a/o Patrick leaving. Official confirmation can only come from the actor, his reps, or the network/studio.

Official confirmation of Meghan's departure did come from Suits/USA Network on the day following the announcement of Meghan's engagement to Prince Harry:

No official word has come from PJA or Suits/USA Network/UCP about Patrick's leaving (as probable as it seems). And it may not until 716 airs, based on how Gina Torres's departure was handled--in that case, official word came after her final episode (or what was thought to be her final episode) had aired.

Yes, I'm curious about how Mike will stay connected to the firm and, more personally, to Harvey, because you know they will stay connected. I also hope Patrick returns to direct, maybe more than one episode per season.

It seems that way, though he chose his words carefully. At the time news leaked that Patrick might be leaving, industry sources like Deadline Hollywood and others stated that discussions were ongoing, suggesting a deal was being worked out for him to remain. Ha ha! Mike didn't have any big season-ending moments in 7A...I don't think that's happened before.

Speaking of long hiatus (it's been no longer than usual, so far), I'm beginning to wonder if the 7B premiere will be pushed back to March, because of the Olympics. Unless an announcement is made this week and promos start to air, we may have to wait a little longer.
