The Starter Wife

I've been seeing a lot of promos on TV for USA's next big thing they're doing, a tv mini-series/event called "The Starter Wife."

It looks pretty good, I think - the promos are engaging, and they have Debra Messing in it - whom I LOVE and have since the very first episode of Will & Grace. Has anyone else seen anything about this?

I haven't seen anything on this show yet, but I'll get it added to the thread guide.

Thanks!

It looks really cute from what I've seen. It starts on May 31st, and runs for five or six weeks after, I think.

This is the official site for it, and this is one of the promos that I've seen around.

It's based on a book that's also called "The Starter Wife," if anyone has read that? I'd be interested in hearing more about the story!

Bumping 'cause it comes on tonight!

I saw some of the cast for this (Debra Messing, Anika Noni Rose, Judy Davis) on The View this morning - it was really good, and the showed new clips from the series! Did anyone else see it?

I watched it last night and there was something I was confused about. I was messing with laundry at the time and I wasn't fully paying attention, so: Did Lou kill himself? Because I kind of wanted him and Molly to end up together.

I watched it on the website today and I liked it!

I think Lou did kill himself it looked like he left a suicide note, which is sad cause I wanted him and molly together too.

I don't know what exactly has happened to Lou, but I really want to know. I thought he and Molly had interesting chemistry. I hope he is okay, but I wonder if he's going to be?

Though Scruffy Beach Guy is HOT, so I can definitely see the interest there.

I really thought Debra Messing did a really good job in this part, I really liked her as Molly, and I liked that she gave her a lot of interesting layers. I love her friendship with the security guard. I love her figuring out how to like herself in spite of all the hollywood reasons she "shouldn't."

I am looking forward to Thursday! This is a fun series. It's very "summer" you know?

Eh, didn't really impress me. Debra Messing was fun to watch, the plot was lacking and it felt very forced with some of the chemistry.

Did anyone watch this past week's episode?

I thought Molly dressing up like Joan's sister and visiting her in rehab was sp HILARIOUS! I love when Debra Messing does comedic stuff.

I also can't believe that Sam the Hottie turned out to have such a shady past and nowhere to live! I wonder where they are going with this.

And, still no word on whether or not Lou is alive or...I need to know!
