Premieres Tuesday, July 1, (8:00 - 9:00 PM ET/PT) on ABC Family.

Synopsis:

A look at how teens at a Midwestern high school struggle with decisions about sex and relationships. One model student and daughter succumbs to the charms of the school Romeo and finds herself knocked up; another good girl, a popular, ambitious virgin, doesn't realize her boyfriend's stamina for abstinence is not as strong as hers; and one good boy determined to become a bad boy finds that pursuing the object of his affection only brings out the good in him.

I saw a commercial for this during Greek and i think it looks fantastic! It reminds me a lot of 7th heaven but with 3 separated storylines and not just one big family.. Also, molly ringwald is the mom in it! ha, she's probably one of my all time favorite actresses..

I saw the promo and it seemed interesting, I'm going to watch the pilot at least, but I'll probably wind up watching all of the episodes because I get bored when there's nothing new on TV

i'll add that to the opening, i think abc family has some great shows such as kyle xy and greek so i'll watch the pilot even though it's from the 7th Heaven creators, didn't care for that show at all.

I don't think it will be as cheesy as 7th Heaven. I think they don't want to repeat the same things, so hopefully some of it will be different.

I think it will definitely be a little more adult and slightly edgier than 7th heaven.. Also, you know what else i realized, the main girl is Shailene Woodley and used to be in The OC... I think this cast looks great, I think this will be similar to Greek where ABC Family took a group of relative no names and turned them into big stars... I mean, I can see her love interest being the next Cappie..

yeah, i hope it's more realistic and not as preachy, this should be a fun summer show and shailene woodley has really grown up since season 1 of the o.c., she was tiny back then

7th Heaven is my one and only true love, so of course I will be checking this out. I wrote a fanfic where one of the 7H characters does the whole teen pregnancy story-line, and I'm really excited to see how Brenda does it herself versus how I thought she might.

Personally, I don't know how this is going to go. I'd have to see the writing and dialog and such before I make a real prediction about it. But it's been marked down on my calendar for months now.

"The Secret Life of the American Teenager," debuts 8 p.m. July 1 on ABC Family: Imagine what "Gossip Girl" would be like if Serena were pregnant, Blair was a promise ring-wearing Christian and Chuck was seeking treatment for sex addiction. The result would probably be a lot like "The Secret Life of the American Teenager," the new series from "Seventh Heaven" creator Brenda Hampton.

The show's pilot is cheesy, but surprisingly funny and endearing. And Molly "Sixteen Candles" Ringwald co-stars as the mom of a pregnant teen. Worth a look.

I saw a preview for this on ABCFamily earlier this week and it looks like it will be a really great show. I used to be a 7th Heaven fan but didn't like it much after Jessica Biel left. Hopefully this show will be good.
