1. Michael. I think both are very attractive and maybe in the conventional sense Max is hotter but for me personally I like Michael better (at least, in season 1 - didnt love his hair much in the later seasons). but the whole angry boy attitude was hot and I also like that deep down he has a heart and he's very loyal to his friends. Max was a bit bland for my taste.

2. Both are great couples, again, in the grand scheme of it all maybe max/liz were a better couple and went through a lot, but for me, Michael/Maria was my OTP. Again, their storyline in the first season and maybe parts of 2 really drew me in. I love that it took Michael so long to come around and they had a lot of angst. With that said I felt the show almost destroyed them. Its been a while since Ive seen season 3 but from my memory he dint treat her very well near the end there which is unfortunate but i still liked their first scenes together.

now I have a question, which is, what is everyones favorite season?

also what other pairings did you guys like besides m/m and m/l? any uc ships?

Season one was the absolute best! Season two and season three were just not as magical as season one.

That said, "The End of the World" episode in season two is one of the most heartbreaking teen drama episodes created.

I prefer Max/Liz over Michael/Maria, but I haven't done rewatch since middle/high school; so, I wonder if that would change now. I do think Michael is really loyal to his friends, and I love the angst between Michael/Maria. I think they're a great couple, but my heart was always with Max/Liz.

For other couples, I did really like Isabel/Alex. I didn't really have any UC ships for this show.

Liz/Max was my favourite couple.

Season 1 was by far my favourite. Just the right amount of drama and sci-fi.

I would say I definitely shipped Max/Michael as a "slash couple". I also liked Kyle and Isabel. Never liked Jesse much.

I wasn't a big fan of Jesse either but wasn't a Kyle/Isabel shipper. I preferred her with Alex (RIP).

I loved Isabel and Alex. I was so sad when Alex died.

That song that plays when Max and Tess sleep together and Liz realises that Alex never left the country (It starts like "Till my body is dust, till my soul fades away, I will love you") will always remind me of poor Alex.

Michael/Maria for sure. I love both, but MM's chemistry is magnetic. I was obsessed from 285 South. And it's funny, I didn't even know they were going to be a thing...all I had heard about was Max and Liz before I had watched the show. What a great surprise.

Michael and Max are pretty equal to me, though Michael's personality for some reason I am more attracted to? I love both.

S1 is my favorite season. I still find time to rewatch it.

And Michael/Liz, I was sort of interested in But not seriously at all.

I agree about the seasons. season 1 was amazing. 2/3 had nice moments but for the most part i didnt love them and everything they entailed. i did like 2 better than 3 though i think.

im loving isobel/alex this time around!

i also like the interaction between liz/michael and kind of UC ship them. also isobel/michael.

In their previous lives Michael and Isabel were married, no? But she betrayed because she loved the enemy?

I'm doing a rewatch this holiday because I forgot how epically awesome this show is.

^I believe that is correct. I remember Michael and Isabel being together in their alternate life. I don't remember all of he details though. It's been so long since I have watched the series.

With the change from WB to UPN, I feel like there were a lot of changes for season 3 to pop on the new station that just didn't work.

Also Max as this bad boy... so not believable.

Max was the good boy with straight A's and a show smile. Michael was the bad apple. Yeah, I didn't like that turn of events either.

Also, I never believed that the Evans' would kick Max out. That was pure for plot reasons and not from character motivations.

I still like S2 a lot. Some episodes are absolutely fantastic S3 can be tough at times.

100% agree! The Evans wouldn't just kick Max out. I was just for plot purposes for sure.

Michael and Max were polar opposites originally (Michael as the "troubled foster kid" and Max as the straight A perfect child). Season three was just out of character.

When I was unpacking at my new apartment, I saw my season 1 DVD. It is very possible it will be going in the DVD player at some point this week.
