I wasn't able to catch the premiere of my Girl remake since mga 10:30 pm na ako nakauwi. Sayang naman.

I got home around 9:15pm, I wasn't able to watch the first scenes of the show, but majority I got too. Kim is cute, she's good in her potrayal..As for Gerald, he really looks too young for the role.
In general, the show was good for me, funny in a way.

But girls I wanna hear your two cents on the show.

Napanood ko kanina yung My Girl. Hmm... mukhang okay naman pagkaka-portray ni Kim as Yoo Rin, kuha naman yung mga pa-kyut scenes. I try not to compare na lang with Lee Da Hae kasi mag-iiba talaga comments ko. And don't get me started with Gerald as Gong Chan/Julian. My gawd! He's murdering the character! First of all, it is hardly believable that he's a president of a hotel even with him being in a suit. Para lang siyang highschool student na nasa JS prom. 2nd, siguro stick na lang siya sa mga love team pa-kyut movies kung saan di masyado kailangan ng acting skills, coz he can't handle any roles outside of that. He should undergo intense acting workshops. 3rd, what's up with his hair? I just don't get it.

Overall plus side of the remake is that they're really sticking with the story (so far) and kahit yung scenes di masyado naiiba (so far again). I like Cathy Gonzaga din.

I watched the first episode of "My Girl". I think it was able to capture the essence of the original. I think this is a team-up of SBS and ABS so its really a must na they stick as close as possible to the original. I hope. I like Kim. Shes funny here. And shes able to switch emotions pretty good now. I like her chemistry with Lito Pimentel as her dad. They click. Ilang beses akong tawa ng tawa sa kanya and also with Cathy Gonzaga and the actor that plays her brother. Cathy Gonzaga is a revelation here. I agree Gerald is really a miscast. Kahit anong pagpapatanda sa kanya eh di pa rin papasa. But so far I liked it.

re: Cathy Gonzaga - she was also in the most recent story on "Your Song" with Joross Gamboa and Victor Basa. The plot was a big risk and gamble because it tackled a gay theme but I liked how it was played. very subtle and very real. It got really good reviews. Cathy was good here too.

Sana talaga stick to the story sila at wag na magdagdag ng kahit ano pa. I agree with Kim, it really shows na nag-improve na talaga acting niya. Pero bakit yung love team niyang si Gerald naiwan yata?

I think mas bagay kung si Sam Milby na lang ginawang Julian, kering-keri pa yun.

Okay, I must admit now that I'm a regular watcher of My Girl..

I love it and have to agree with Rai, Kim is good here she pulled it off well. As for Gerald, it's hard to see him in a much older role, he's trying hard to give justice...So I agree with Karen on that one.

Yes, I think it's a joint venture of SBS and ABS coz it's in the credits at the end of the show.

Ohhh Marian, mentioned in MC thread that Tackey's show Strawberry shortcake will be shown by ABS..

I saw the trailer too.

I haven't been able to watch my girl these past few days, pero I've seen the commercials. Kim seems cute and funny.

Si Gerald, well, in fairness I haven't seen his whole acting so it's early to judge.

I'll try to watch it tonight.

I love it's korean version so I hope they'll do a great job.
