July 17 premiere date probably means around 1st week of July for the promotions? It's also a new show so I'm sure USA will promote it. :nod:

Did you watch Suits btw? I don't think you need to watch that show to understand this show. But just a background, Jessica Pearson was once a partner on the law firm at Suits. I forgot when her last season on the show was but I am happy with her exit and her last ep on the show was one of my favorites and Jessica was my fave character on Suits and Gina Torres was the reason I watched Suits in the first place.

I know you're watching because of Bethany and I can't wait to see her on this show. If it's going to be like Suits, then expect a lot of backstabbing, fighting and badass moments. :nod:

No, I don't watch Suits even tho I saw from here and there since I can able to understand why.. Even tho I heard that Gina's role are everyone's fav character.. Plus she's great actress..

Also not sure but the final season of Suits also comes back around the time this show premieres. :)

I loved Gina on Alias (even if she played a baddie there). And I think she's an underrated actress. And yes, FINALLY, she gets a show where she's the main lead. :nod:

She was on Alias?!?!?! I didn't know that.. But yeah, I agree w/ you since I remember seeing her on other show, but she play bad person..

She wasn't a regular but played a recurring character on the show. Almost everyone on Alias are doing good career-wise nowadays. :nod: We're not supposed to root for villains but somehow I ended up rooting for her everytime she's back. :lol:

Ahh, no wonder.. At least now she finally have leading role bec it been overdue that she should have one from day one..

I think she was also lead/main cast on Suits but the story of that show initially revolved around 2 characters played by Patrick J. Adams & Gabriel Macht so technically she's not lead.

Yes and her character was around in all the eps, she was a main cast and has her own SL on the show too. But promotions for Suits was all about the characters of PJA & Gabriel, if I recall. :look: She was the reason I watched the show in the first place. :nod: I had no idea who the rest of the cast were, I didn't know them until Suits happened.

Ahh, thanks.. And why she leave in Suit? I mean, what's the reason for her moved to Chicago?

I'm not exactly sure why she left Suits but I'm thinking it's probably because she was offered this show.

If I remember correctly, Gina wanted to be close to her family and Suits is mostly filmed in Toronto ;)


As for her character, Jessica left for Chicago before there was any talk of a spin-off and Gina found a new role in The Catch first so her leaving has nothing to do with Pearson at that time :)
