Another good ep! I loved when Carbo was talking about his mum's dresses - 'like a mermaid' and Melissa made up the story of someone coming into the ER because they'd worn a dress that'd been in plastic.

I'm curious about the 25 year old secret that's mentioned in the ad. Rachel is supposed to be 25 and they got married after Julie was pregnant. You don't think they'll come out and say that Dave isn't her biological dad, do you?

Could be.

Episode description for next week:

Quote:
Taking the Lead

Ben's world is turned upside down after a drunken one-night stand. Then, Dave must face up to the secrets of his past, while Carbo strikes up a surprising friendship with unexpectedly romantic results.
There's an article in TV Week on Ben and Melissa, but I only took a quick glance at the shops. It looked like a pic of them in bed together, but I'm not sure on that.

ETA: Ratings:

1 PACKED TO THE RAFTERS Seven 1,979,000 622,000 629,000 343,000 183,000 203,000

It's still doing incredibly well! There was actually a bit less viewers than this last week.

Woah! Good numbers.

I wonder if they'll release S1 on DVD .... it would be good if they did with some good behind the scenes footage, commentary etc.

I'm still wondering why they never released City Homicide on DVD?

I think they will. They have Seasons 1&2 of Always Greener on dvd. (even though I can't actually find copies that aren't split into two parts.)

They've got a video on the Channel 7 website.. from Sunrise.. that goes behind the scenes of PTTR. They talked to some of the actors, and showed filming of some scenes which I think were from the end of the season - like Ben running then jumping over the fence yelling something about them taking him back. (his parents who were getting into the car) And Ben bringing flowers over to the house.

ETA: here: Packed To The Rafters

There's pictures on the site too, now.

Rocked to the Rafters : TV Tonight

If you’ve heard that Craig MacLachlan is to make an appearance on Packed to the Rafters you’ll spy him next Tuesday if you’re quick. He appears in a clip being interviewed by James Tobin.

Thanks for the link! On the same subject, this is from the tvweek website:

Quote:
Coming up: Craig McLachlan guest stars as an '80s rocker — and Dave's former band mate. Why did the group split up, and what grudge does the Rafters dad still carry with him today?

That's awesome! I'll have to try and remember when it's on.

There's a video interview with Hugh and Angus from the morning show on the channel 7 website. Hugh and Jess (Rachel) were great mates before the show.. they went to NIDA together, and they auditioned through that along with the rest of the class for PTTR.

Contractual issue with Southern Star / Seven. If we get them it'll be next year unless a miracle turnaround occurs before the year is out. Highly unlikely.

Damn, I only realised this thread existed now. It's an awesome show.

Anyone got any PttR icons?

Yep, I saw them on stage together last year when they performed at a STC benefit. Also saw Jessica perform this year on stage in Melbourne. She's an unbelievable talent.

The thing that first hooked me to this show was (excl. the Rafter house which is filmed in Concord) all the other exterior shots are from my area, it's been a long time since that has happened.
