^Are you disappointed with this season, or what's your reasoning behind wanting to stop watching future seasons?

As far as im concerned the show has been stretched out

The defocusing of Piper is case in point, if she gets released from prison, there is no reason to continue the show

I don't think Piper is the main focus, and is certainly not what I watch the show for. I got annoyed with her a few seasons back, so I'd be fine with her leaving.

I really enjoyed this latest season, I found it totally addicting!

I love piper but I don't think the show is about her and I'd still watch with her gone.

I think it was originally about her, and the book was written by the real Piper. They've done a good job at expanding the focus on the other inmates as well, but I do think she needs to be included as a cast member.

Yeh, like one of the inmates stated: "Blond Katie Perry" is the selling point

The moment she goes, theres no reason to continue

FWIW its more accurate to focus on the other inmates, but not too much on them (no-one is the main character) because prison is meant to be a de-personalizing experience

Okay so this week we are free to discuss through 506 right?

504-506

In general I found the 505 episode kind of boring. I think the whole riot thing is starting to get a little bit old.

The whole poussay thing was great though when brook and tasty were arguing about it.

The stuff with Daya in 505 was hard to watch, knowing what she did.

I did like Taystee giving her speech about Poussey though. It was cool to get a backstory on her in episode 6.

I also enjoyed the Piper/Alex scenes.

The saved by the bell talk was hilarious! "Who is Stacey!?" haha.

Lorna/Nicky are so cute together. But when she revealed she was pregnant. Oh boy...

I thought 506 was a filler episode, only the appearance

Yes, but most stories are hard to expand from the main characters where it isn't dependent on having the main character still included.

OITNB does a good job at making a lot of characters "main characters."

what is interesting is how Glow has a lot of the production crew for OITNB

Chances are they were around for OITNB's beginning (when it was good) but have now jumped ship to Glow to start afresh :p
