YASSSSS same. I loved season 5 so much.

For me, 1 is my favorite but 5 might be 2nd. and then 3. 3 is great over all but ship wise ehhhh.

after that i would rank them: 4, 9, 2, 7, 6, 8.

I always feel weird saying that cause everyone I know hates s5 but I would go S1, S4, S5, S3, S6 (7-9 don't exist in my world.)

I think S5 would have been higher on my list if there was no LL or they ended at the end of 5.07.

I'm torn on s5. I do have a soft spot for it because of the angst too. But, yeah, not a big fan of how it played out post 5.07.

I think my ranking of seasons for LP would be: 1, 4, 6, 5, 3, 2.

My ranking of seasons in general would be: early 1, mid s1, early s5, period. Those are the only parts of the show I find somewhat bearable, lol.

S7-9 don't exist for me either.

Yeah, LL should have never gotten engaged imo and clearly only happened for the sake of drama. Why did you put S3 LP below S5?

Because I love early s5 LP scenes (especially 5.02) more. S3 ones were great too, but less angsty (except 3.16).

season 7 I loved Clay/Sara and the beginning of clay/quinn. only good things about the seaosn imo.

i liked parts of season 7. the stuff with haley and her mom were great. i actually didnt hate the renee plot because it was slightly different for nathan and gave haley good material. i liked clay/quinn at the time but upon rewatch they were just really cheesey lol.

season 8 i couldnt stand. there were maybe 2/3 episodes and some scenes i liked but overall it was horrible imo.

i loved season 9 though, i really enjoyed a lot of the episodes and it felt like old OTH to me at times.

brooke and lucas 2.0 and 1.0. They were just so boring. I also was not here for NH S2.

Agreed and I will also add Jeyton, the LLP wedding storyline, Nanny Carrie, Naley having Jamie in HS as a few more.

My list of hated oth sls is endless:

1) Peyton playing a mommy to Jenny.

2) Jeyton&Brucas. I liked absolutely nothing about either couple.

3) Nikki/Jake/Jenny. St Jake, the Perfect Single Father. Nikki, the Evil Seductress/Bad Mother.

4) Peyton getting almost date raped and having no p.o.v. in her own story so that Brooke and Brucas can be the focus.

5) NH teen marriage.

6) NH teen pregnancy.

7) 99% of Brooke's sls. Lucas teaching her to parrot his faves out of Western literary canon. Her teaching him generic "fun." Poor little rich Brooke sls (especially the when she organizes crab union/sorority , it was so stupid and boring but the show thought it was cute and funny). Class presidency snoozefest. Fashion designer garbage. "Ethical" corporation owner garbage.

8) Haley's s2 tour. Not because I think Haley was selfish but because 1) I neither want to watch stories about instant teen pop stars, nor do I think Haley would ever want to become one. 2) The narrative vilified her.

9) Peyton running TRIC. They made it too large scale and boring.

10) Peyton and Haley earning tons of money from producing generic pop and acting like it's some amazing alternative to the big bad music industry.

11) Peyton's drug sl. Good idea, bad execution. Couldn't they have gone for something more relateable than a random music hot shot giving her cocaine? Weed doesn't exist in oth and kids don't have access to it?

12) Lucas becoming a celebrity trashy romance novelist. Either acknowledge it's a contradictory to his usual high brow taste (this could have been source of good humor) or have him write something pretentious. Also, acknowledge he sucks as a writer. Especially if you're gonna subject us to lines from his books.

13) Dan/Jules/Keith. Can Dan be less soapy, please?

14) Deb/Dan war thing in s2. I haven't rewatched it since I first saw it but I remember it being one of the many things that made me go "this is such a ridiculous soap, and not even a fun one."

15) Nanny Carrie characterization. This show vilifies women in such disgusting and ridiculous ways. A nanny out to steal your husband and child because she's been traumatized by her own child's death. Whatever.

16) All the cheerleading. Most of the jocking. Cringey American stereotypes overload.
